The Carryology X PDW AP-C (Accessory Pod) edition features X-Pac™ VX25, Dimension Polyant PX05 fabrics, and is our take on the classic box type pen and pencil case. Our version is longer than most linear style zippered pouches and ideally suited for full sized combo wrenches, art supplies, any manner of writing and drawing implements, and will even fit most popular brands of modern electric toothbrushes.
When re-creating this type of classic "pen and pencil case", we intentionally dimensioned it to fit many more items, tools and personal effects most others won't accommodate. We saw the AP-C as a versatile carrier that can function as a mini dopp-kit, grab-and-go tool kit, all around art supplies pouch, and in some of our circles known to perfectly hold certain kinds of suppressors. With our MCA and optional HAL1 Straps™ or any 3rd party MOLLE straps, the AP-C is fully MOLLE compatible. A full length YKK Aquaguard zipper allows full access to your items inside. This AP-C fits on any MOLLE panels as well as pack straps.

Solid
It’s a good size and well built, but lacking the finishing touch of competitors: lining on the inside. It’s not completely necessary, but it’s the difference between 4 and 5 stars.
The lining was what Carryology wanted.

A handy X-Pac MacGyver pouch
I have a small selection of pencil case type pouches similar to this. This is my first X-Pac one and I appreciate the materials used in this and the build quality, not to mention the aquaguard zippers as well. I especially love that it comes with black paracord zipper pulls installed, and to top it off you also get a signature little brown envelope of PDW orange and green paracord strips as well should you wish to change out the black. (If you are in to Carryology you should opt for the orange of course!)
Anyhow, I have already used this to load up with colored pencils and markers for my 4 year old when taking him to appointments and various outings. The material is nice because I can just wipe it out when he leaves the cap off his markers. I have also loaded it up with eating utensils on my most recent cabin trip. I have a previous iteration in a different material I keep in my Jeep loaded with a few tools and a flashlight. These are just handy little pouches that can take a beating and help keep your gear organized.

photos did not clearly show the insides. the included strings are for what purpose?
Those 'extra strings' were different color cordage for the user to change out the zipper pulls if they so wished. These were also clearly pictured and noted on the product page. We guess you, uh...somehow missed that in your careful web browsing. D'oh. Oh well....
